The members of the SAQA Central Canada Region are a very diverse and friendly group of textile artists from Ontario and Quebec. Some members are internationally well known while others enjoy a personal practice but have little interest in entering their work in shows. The vast majority probably fall somewhere in the middle but what they all have in common is a love for textile art in all its forms and a desire to nurture and encourage fellow members. Everyone is welcome!
There are a number of well attended pods across the region which members attend around every two months. Each year, usually in April, there is a regional retreat held at the Crieff Hills Retreat & Conference Centre just outside Puslinch in Ontario. These events allow members to meet in person and share their work with other members. The opportunity is there for each and every one of us to learn from others. Members are encouraged to share their work and positive feedback is a large part of that experience.
