Judy Langille

I am drawn to handmade fabrics to express my ideas. My emphasis is always on strong composition, which reflects the spontaneous way in which these fabrics were created. The fabrics seek to express ideas that I am currently exploring. My current work is based on the changing realities of what is happening in the environment. Earth tones and a range of cool colors are the elements that I have been inspired by in my new work. Collaging and hand stitching are used to put my compositions together. The final layer is either hand stitched or knotted.
