Ree Nancarrow

I am an Alaskan artist who has lived remotely for many years but is currently in Fairbanks. Working with scientists has changed how I see the world and describe it visually. I am currently working digitally, incorporating images of drawings, immersion, clamp-dyed fabrics, silk-screened and deconstructed silk-screened fabrics, and photographs. I experiment with images, create new and unusual color palettes, and express ideas that have interested me for years. Final designs are custom printed on fabric, sewn together, and quilted elaborately.
