Mary Kay Fosnacht

I am a fiber artist creating stories with cloth in an abstract and representational manner. Abstraction pushes me to capture the essence of a theme to tell a story with color and composition. Still, I also like the challenge of recreating photos and other representational themes. Working mainly with cotton fabrics and thread, I use a combination of traditional piecing methods and appliqué. I love bright, solid colors, bold graphic design, and the use of negative space.
