I am interested in the relationship between time, memory and imagery. When we moved from our 100 year old house on the Atlantic coast, I wanted to document this particular place and the time we had lived there. By rusting fabric with objects that I had found in the ground, I made historic imprints of the place. I feel that I transferred the memory of the time I had spent there to a tactile surface; capturing its DNA so to speak. The layering of materials and the rust imprints refer to the passage of time and the process of remembering.
