During life’s unceasing twists and turns, I try to face the light, to avoid falling into darkness and despair. 2020
had more than the usual number of challenges. So as it came to a close, I reflected on the bright spots resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Many families have been given extended time together at home, and technology has enabled us to meaningfully reconnect with far flung family and friends. I’ve had more time for greater spiritual reflection and to appreciate the outdoors. Seeing people’s service to support our communities, and their creativity in dealing with newly-challenging daily tasks, has inspired me. The slivers of light motivate me to keep moving forward.
