Room at the Table

After the horrors of World War II, my parents immigrated from Holland to Canada with their six children. There was room there: room for them to thrive, and grow, and change. They all became Canadian citizens, learned to speak English, and adapted to North American ways. The chairs represent inclusion, possibility, and welcome at the new table.
