My Baltic Tribe

Baltic symbols come to us from the distant past and they carry encoded information about my ancestors understanding of the world and their relationship with nature and time. Even nowadays we can find those symbols everywhere: in woven towels and bed covers, in pottery, papercut crafts etc. Creating this quilt I included some of those symbols and even a Lithuanian legend of Jurate and Kastytis. I also included pieces of hand woven towel.
