The giant kelp forests of the Pacific coast are silently disappearing, decimated by voracious sea urchins. Once protected from the urchins by sea otters and sea stars, those protectors are also disappearing due to climatic changes in our oceans. An entire undersea habitat is crashing with little awareness from those inhabiting the land environment. Is it possible to save this beautiful and biologically important part of our ocean ecosystem? Is it possible to change our behavior?
