One day a foreign quilter asked me a question that is still burned into my mind: Japan has so many wonderful fabrics, so why do Japanese quilters only use foreign fabrics to make quilts? Since then, I have made my quilts using foreign fabrics and traditional Japanese SHIBORI (tie-dyed fabric) and collaborations with my favorite foreign fabrics. This time, I used many recycled vintage Kimonos for the cherry blossoms, and UK, US, AUST. and Canada, making for fun quilt.
