My work highlights the symbolic and esthetic significance of the moon in Asian culture, celebrating the harmonious connection of human life to nature. My inspiration comes from the harvest moon festival, which brings family together to share thanksgiving for the harvest. Threads were my primary medium for this piece. As a symbol of harmony, I wove a circle into a reclaimed quilt surface that was complexly interwoven and intricately entangled in threads.
