Greening is a cultural mash-up. It starts with a 19th century American quilt block design that I hand appliquéd using West African cotton brocade and batik fabrics, moves on to hand embroidery with variegated pearl cotton, and ends with free motion machine quilting. The common elements are the colors: green, green, and green!
