When I was a small child, my family lived in Costa Rica. One morning, my mother found me singing “Itsy Bitsy Spider” to a tarantula on the garden wall before me. I had made a new friend. I have since moved to less wild environs, but I have continued to be fascinated by spiders of all kinds.
Named for a group of spiders, "Clutter" was mostly inspired by the golden silk orb-weaver spider. In addition to having beautiful markings, these spiders create such intricate webs to lure their prey.
