We went to Italy specifically to visit this prehistoric petroglyph map in Capo di Ponte, north of Lake Como. The rock is about 60x20 feet. It is thought to be the oldest map in the world and shows a community that has begun to farm and build homes. It was in a magical location looking over a huge river valley with the Swiss Alps behind it.
