Pigeon's Roost

I have been drawn to making these simple but dramatic scenes of birds silhouetted against sunsets lately. These pigeons roosting in my large pine tree are only a small part of a huge flock that visit my bird feeders daily. I set them against a brilliant sunset also from a photo from my back yard. I resized the photo to remove extraneous leaves and transferred the sunset to the background fabric.
