Gems of a Fall Meadow

Native plant meadows are an important part of planet restoration. The background of this small quilt is a photograph of my south Louisiana meadow to which I applied several photo art techniques, resulting in an abstract reflection. The piece shows the beauty of a meadow in Fall, a time when many plants are brown and ending their seasonal life cycle, but are a wonderful habitat haven for many insects, birds, and other creatures. The gemstones, beads, and Angelina fiber reflect the beauty and glory of the fall meadow. This quilt was designed to inspire viewers to revel in and appreciate meadows in all seasons.
