Kevin Womack is a textile artist based out of Lynchburg, Virginia. He believes that quilts evoke feelings of comfort, safety, home and family. As an artist, Kevin is passionate about hand dyeing and patterning fabrics with surface design techniques, which comes through in his work. This exhibit features work derived from personal life events and his love of the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as his reactions to the current state of the United States. Kevin aims to balance the hard edges and uncomfortable feelings of his subject matter through the use of soft media. We hope you come visit this exhibit and seek out your own story through Kevin’s work.
