Join the Quilt Alliance for the first QSOS Memorial Spotlight to honor interviewees who made a significant contribution to quilt history. We’ll feature Viola Canady, founder of the historic Daughters of Dorcas quilt guild, who was interviewed for the Quilters Save Our Stories project twice—in 2002 and 2004, interviewed by Evelyn Salinger. We’ll listen to excerpts from Viola’s interviews, and hear from her family members, past members of the Daughters of Dorcas, and other artists and historians impacted by this community pioneer.
Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Alliance, Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA), and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.
