Region
Brevard County, Florida is home to the oldest textiles ever found in North America. Made from palm fronds, these pieces are at least 7000 years old. As Brevard's earliest fiber artists creatively utilized the resources in their world, present-day fiber artists now include recycled materials, window screening, melted plastic, paper, plant fibers, and more. The 19 pieces in this exhibit represent the creativity and talent of the Dirty Dozen Fiber Artists.
