Stitched Stories with Emily Tull and Nikki Parmenter, presented by SAQA

Join us for a Textile Talk with Emily Tull and Nikki Parmenter, two artists with a shared passion for storytelling and stitch.

Emily Tull is inspired by the everyday. She's particularly interested in underdogs, whether they are endangered bees or human beings. Emily's work tells stories that highlight the natural world or hint at people's private lives. She is a thread painter who likens her stitch technique to drawing with colored pencils.

Nikki Parmenter creates large-scale, narrative, colorful, free machine stitched pieces. Find out how she plans and executes her art. Nikki's work tells stories from diverse cultures, literature, and the natural world.
