In this meeting, we discussed Maggie Vanderweit’s basket collection.
Maggie writes, "I fell in love with baskets at a First Nations gift shop when I was ten. There were sweet grass and birch bark vessels that all smelled heavenly, and I bought some with my babysitting money. Since then, I have always decorated the house with baskets from around the world. The handwork and natural materials used to make these simple, elegant, functional, and beautiful items constantly inspire me."
