Ellen Piccolo

After 50 years of representational oil painting, studying with Nancy Crow has helped her repertoire evolve to include collage and fabric. It has also resulted in a focus from realism to abstraction, utilizing nautical subject matter as inspiration. Images begin with fishing vessels, tugs, and sailboat components. Studies are executed in paint and paper collage. These are then refined, enlarged, and converted to fabric.
