Artist Statement
As an artist, I have been fortunate to create meaningful work in various media. For me, if my work doesn’t have a solid foundation and contributes to the world, it has no meaning. I have explored socio/political issues, primarily overcrowding and overpopulation.

Fabric continues to intrigue me. I love the softness, the ability to form it into many shapes, sizes and compositions. I am continually drawn back into the realm of art quilts, as I find it to be both aesthetically pleasing and technically challenging.

I continue to explore the many possibilities inherent in the fabric. I learned to sew as a teenager, and that work has been ingrained in my artistic journey for many years. I love the feel and the way it molds to many surfaces.

Collage is a medium that has intrigued and fascinated me for many years. The ability to create thought-provoking images with various elements, both digital and analog, is a new way for me to express current and past experiences in my life and reality.
