Woolies ..... Whistlin' In The Wind

The background is composed of various commercial batiks pieced in a somewhat random configuration. The flowers & leaves are made from hand dyed felted wool. Some details were added using Shiva Paintstiks and I loved the contrast in texture between the "heavy" wool and the light, almost transparent "painting"! Lots of texture was added with freehand quilting in the background with my domestic machine.
