Watermelon Summer

This was a "breakthrough" quilt in my evolution as a quilt artist. Originally a "failure" as geometric quilt, I reworked it using overlay, applique, and saturated color effects that changed the quilt into a successful work. It helped me to see the importance of layers in my work and appreciate the potential for growth.
