Un-United

Un-United is my response to the insurrection on Jan. 6th. I watched with horror as fanatical Trump supporters stormed the Capitol Building screaming for blood. Seeing the American flag as a battering ram or a weapon both horrified me and filled me with fear and sadness. My reaction was to begin slicing up flag fabric and restitching it together, only to slice it and sewing it back again. It was the perfect exercise to reflect my feelings about the state of American politics.
