I employ a sketchbook and sewing machine to sculpt my colorful fabric creations. Bright colors and movement are predominant elements of the repetitive grid structure that allows light and shadow to create new patterns and colors.
I employ traditional techniques to create innovative, dimensional "quilted" works. By definition these sculptural, fabric constructions are "quilts" - layers of fabric held together by stitches with the addition of light and shadow to transform the value and viewer's perspective.
