A Touch of Healing

Connecting to people by talking, explaining, demonstrating, teaching, understanding, experimenting, cajoling, and most of all, touching not only the hands, but hopefully also the hearts of thousands of my patients over 40 years, is the essence of my career as an occupational therapist. It is the connections that make this work. Rehabilitation is so satisfying, and there is such a benefit in seeing success. Tender loving care is not a cliché, it is a reality that works.
