Too Brief

After the bombing in 1995 of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City I was invited to be one of 19 artists to create as a memorial, a quilt for the 19 children killed in that bombing. The show opened at the memorial events that took place on the same date, April 19, one year later, 1996, in Oklahoma City.

I used bright colors for babies hands, placed on a gray, for smoke and debris, background. 19 square representing the 19 children and a circle at the bottom right corner with the date of the bombing.
