Tired and Poor

The refugees who seek sanctuary around the globe are seen by many as threats, as beggars, as invaders, as terrorists, as parasites, and as criminals. Perhaps things would be different if we could see them as people, reaching out in desperation for a place of safety and hope, as our own ancestors may have done.
