Doorway to the Past was inspired by a photograph taken in Nepal in 2008. In Kathmandu there were many public squares surrounded by ancient brick walls with deteriorated doors and windows. This work is a free-form interpretation of one of the doorways. Imagine what you could see of the Nepali past if you could enter beyond this threshold
Materials
Materials used are commercially printed cottons, batiks and chambray cotton. Machine thread work and handquiltingh with a variety of commercial threads.
