Though She Be Little, She Be Fierce

In one of the photographs which I used as a source for this commissioned portrait, this gorgeous, little poppet was gazing happily back at the viewer whilst the wind spiralled strands of her hair around her face. I decided to add the frame of tumbling leaves to emphasise the vitality of her engaging expression. Her thumb nail is painted pale, sky-blue, hinting at a quirky playfulness.
