Growing up in the 1950s, we were afraid of the sky....the soviet bombers coming through peaceful blue skies. Today, children grow up afraid of terrorism, the concept that anyone coming out of the dark, or standing next to you in line at the grocery store could be fatally dangerous.
Materials
My own hand dyed fabric, all cotton including batting and thread.
Techniques
My own hand dyed fabrics, turned edge applique, raw edge applique, machine quilting. This is one of my first quilts that departed from traditional Baltimore Album applique and still one of my favorites.
