This piece uses extruded as well as woven fabrics. I have always been particularly interested in the connection and continuity of line, shape, and color and the challenge of using a grid format in new and innovative ways to make two-dimensional work more interesting.
Materials
Extruded fabrics, woven fabrics, threads, mixed media embellishment.
Techniques
Fabrics were pieced and sewn onto an extruded fabric backing and then bound and backed by cotton fabric.
