Suspension

This piece was part of a new body of work that I was creating after a period of time away from the studio. Part of that work was hard going, but this piece fell easily into shape and place. Something about the colors and lightness of it all reminded me of floating on one's back in a swimming pool. That feeling of being suspended and weightless.
