Steen's Quilt

A graphic designer, Yde has been making art quilts since the late 1970s. Inspired by traditional antique quilts that she saw during a visit to Connecticut when she was 16 years old, Yde taught herself to quilt by reading books since there were no other artists working in this medium in Denmark at that time. This is one of the first art quilts that Yde created.
