St. Francis spotted in West Texas

This piece is a loving depiction of the West Texas landscape - specifically the canyons of the Caprock with their rugged, brilliantly colored layers of rock serving as history books to reveal millions of years on our planet. In the foreground is a stream of water, a miracle in this arid land. Many have sought shelter in this canyon from the constant dusty winds and gratefully drank its life-saving water. Comanche were here as well, as well as Spanish explorers, pioneers - and as it turns out - St. Francis and his red pick-up truck were spotted in the company of some of the wild inhabitants of this glorious canyon.
