Rhythm is a critical element of dance and music, but I’m most drawn to it in the visual arts. While working on this piece, I was listening to music, and the artwork must have picked up on my love of rhythm because it essentially designed itself. All I did was refine it to ensure the piece works from all sides, as is necessary for a sculpture. The inclusion of fluorescent lights as a design element seemed to be a natural conduit to pick up the flow and carry the movement throughout.
