It was time to decide. Could we get through the passage ahead or should we turn back? My indecision is apparent from my posture. One hand was firmly planted, while the other was hesitating as I leaned around the corner to see what lay ahead. I thought perhaps I could get through, but my husband, who is larger and less agile, might struggle. We turned around, leaving an unexplored mud tunnel in the Fonts Point badlands in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in California, USA.
