Seeking Simplicity: Threads 6&7

I am interested in colour, particularly bright colours and the effect of putting these colours next to each other. I have been exploring the use of coloured threads to enhance and alter my quilts. Each quilt started with a single colour fabric that has a contrasting centre square. Stitching narrow lines in light, medium, and dark values of threads in the same colour family, the overall look of the artwork was altered; what started out as one colour now appears to be several.
