The Screamers

This piece refers to an important annual celebration in the north-west of my country, where deep religiosity mixes with indigenous rites that still survive. Pilgrims come from far away and walk down the mountains to the town, singing folk songs.
This piece belongs to the Earth series and is made with appliqued and quilted hand-dyed fabrics.
