Inspired by the maze of streams in the woods behind my childhood home. I used to try to follow the creeks all the way to their very end. I never did, but it was always an adventure to try. This piece was inspired by freedom and independence, when every path seems open to exploration.
Materials
Hand-dyed silks, vintage cotton thread, batting, wooden canvases.
Techniques
Arashi-Shibori dyed and discharged Thai silk. Pieced and hand-stitched.
