Ruchel, my grandmother's niece, was 8 years old when she was shot and killed by the Nazis. Her mother, father, and younger brother were shot and murdered alongside her. According to witnesses, they were all buried alive on June 3rd, 1943 in the Yolekovich woods as the Nazis liquidated the Zlochev Ghetto in Poland. Today, as the sun rises each and every morning, I seek hope, love, and compassion. Following the massacre on October 7th, 2023 in Israel, my heart is torn apart. I believed never again, but Never Again is Now.
