This piece, a visual account of a rafting trip on the Colorado River, includes views of the river, glimpses of the rock formations seen while floating downstream, and fossils of the lifeforms whose remains created the multicolored rock layers. This is a desert region but the riverbank has its own climate with green foliage set off by the red rocks.
