Requiem for the Birds

In a short time, perhaps twelve thousand years, the actions of our species have changed the trajectory of our planet. Our actions have been so profound that we are said to be entering the Anthropocene Era, defined by global massive extinctions of species, deforestation, climate change, acceleration of rising carbon dioxide levels and sea levels. More and more species, essential living links, have been severed from the chain of the land's diversity. For our sake as well as Nature's, we must make reconciliation.
