The Renaissance Fly

As a member of the Adirondack Regional Textile Artists' Alliance, we would select a word or idea to spur creativity. One selection was Bugs. I had recently been an art courier for my museum's drawing of the Mona Lisa (attributed to Leonardo da Vinci) in which she is holding a feather. What if she was bothered by a fly during her portrait sitting? A flyswatter replaced her feather and is reflected with her in the fly's faceted eyes while he is on a surface scattered with da Vinci's drawings.
