Reflections of Heat

Intense reds, yellow light, and spicy hot flames grow in size as they engulf outer boundaries. Hand-quilted textures appear to be waves of heated air or perhaps streams of water flowing over the fire. Geometric increases in size govern these shapes. They are a variation on an old quilt pattern: King Solomon’s Puzzle or Drunkard’s Path. Erratic movements suggest abstract flames.
