Rainy Day - Strasbourg

I visited Grande-Île, the historic centre of Strasbourg, France in 2018 and found it enchanting. The well-preserved gothic cathedral, canals and worn cobblestones instantly connected me to times past and the generations of the French and German people who had walked these very streets. It rained the entire time we were there, but that did not deter the tourists and shoppers!

‘Rainy Day’, part of my Textile Sketchbook series, is based on a digital sketch that I did of a small street in Strasbourg’s old town.
