Quail Among the Miners Lettuce

My rug hooking group has been doing California-themed rugs the last few years as a group display. We all decided that our state bird, the Quail, was a fun choice for the 2019 Association of Traditional Hooking Artists biennial Denver show. Miner’s lettuce grows in the foothills and was eaten during the gold rush.
