Most of my life I have lived among the Ponderosa Pine trees and felt the need to interpret my view. I was building a log home while working on this quilt. It became my therapy every evening, my escape. The lighting wasn't the best as I created this quilt in the barn on the tackroom door. Now it has an honored spot in my home.
Materials
All cotton fabrics are used and a poly/cotton batting. And yes, all cotton thread.
Techniques
I combined hand applique and fusible applique, cutting and placing one piece of bark at a time. I machine quilted this piece on my little Bernina 910.
